In a green, happy forest lived Mittu, a little blue bird who loved building things. One sunny morning, he was preparing a new nest on a branch.
His friend Golu, a playful squirrel, came jumping around.
“Mittu! Look what I can do!” he shouted and leaped from branch to branch.
But suddenly Golu slipped and accidentally knocked Mittu’s half-made nest down!
Crash!
Mittu’s eyes filled with tears.
“Oh no! My nest… You broke it!” he cried.
Golu felt terrible. “I…I didn’t mean to, Mittu. I’m really sorry,” he said, lowering his head.
Mittu looked at Golu. His heart was angry… but he remembered something his mother always said:
“When someone is truly sorry, forgiveness makes the heart lighter.”
Mittu took a deep breath.
“It’s okay, Golu. I forgive you,” he said softly.
Golu’s eyes sparkled. “Really? Thank you, Mittu! Let’s build the nest together!”
And so they worked side by side—gathering twigs, leaves, and soft grass.
By evening, the new nest was even better and stronger than before.
Mittu smiled.
“See? Forgiveness helped us make something amazing!”
The two friends chirped and chattered happily as fireflies lit the forest.
Moral: Forgiveness makes friendships stronger and hearts happier.
